For caterers
Party orders, with time to prepare
Notice, minimum order and advance, agreed before you cook.

Short answer
How do small caterers take party orders?
Add your party trays and menus with the notice you need and a minimum order. Customers send a request with the date and how many people. HomeTiffin lets you confirm the price, ask for an advance on WhatsApp and see how full each day is.

Common questions
Can I close dates when I am already booked?
Yes. Open the calendar and close the days you are not free, with a reason if you like. Customers see those dates as Closed and cannot pick them. Orders you already have for those days stay as they are.
Can I turn an old party enquiry into an order?
Yes. An older party enquiry in Store has Make it an order. It becomes a made-to-order request that you price, with an advance if you want one, in the same way as any other order.
Can I take party orders without a fixed date?
Yes. A request sent with Something else? can come without a date. You agree the day with the customer on WhatsApp, then pick the date when you confirm the order and its price.

More for Caterers
Catering orders without the back-and-forth
Party orders go wrong when the headcount, the date or the advance is lost in a chat. With HomeTiffin each request keeps the date needed, how many people, the note and the money asked and received, and the customer can follow it on their own order page.
Set how many days' notice you need and the smallest order you take on each item. See made to order for the details.
Advances and balances, kept straight
Ask for 25% or 50% as an advance, mark it received, and the balance shows in your dues once the order is handed over. Our guide on how to take orders for cakes and party food covers notice, minimums and advances in more detail.
Delivering party orders
A confirmed party order for today rides your delivery round as a card inside its stop, with what is in the bag and what to collect. Your driver sees Collect and the amount, or Already paid, so nobody is asked for money twice.
